This morning we had a lovely walk in the woods and George had a wonderful time when I took him off lead. After the very busy few days over the New Year the country park was almost empty which makes our walk so much easier as we can let both boys off lead for most of the time. I do put George back on the lead if I see any small children as I would hate him to frighten a child with his friendly jumping up. He is getting better at obeying my command to stay down but I still can't trust him. Finlay always says hello to everyone but never jumps up.

Many thanks for your lovely birthday wishes for Finlay. I love the fact that he has friends all over the world!!
@s4sayer the noisy tin worked the first time and then they both just looked at me as if I was mad and then carried on! I have found throwing my slipper at George ( not hitting him of course) does seem to shock him briefly. Also me shouting loudly at him seems to have a brief effect. Finlay seems to be the one starting the agro now. I think he is definitely top dog. George will learn in time I suppose.

The tricky bit is that G & F should hear the sound, yet not see the source or you retrieve the tin. Mitzi is better than she was and am resigned and content that she'll never walk on water...relatively speaking!
@gardenfolk Finlay is walking along the path with us sniffing all the bushes. George runs up every little side pathway to have a look with me shouting “this way George”. They are so different! When George gets ahead of us he lays down as if we can’t see him and waits for Finlay to catch him up - he then pounces! They chase each other round and round our legs before stopping again to sniff every blade of grass. A walk takes forever! Lol!
