As we walked through the woods this morning we went along a path with steep hills either side. This used to be ironstone workings back in Victorian times and most of the paths follow the deep gullies left by the workings.
I was amazed at how much of this tree's root system is exposed. Presumably the park rangers keep an eye out to make sure it's not going to fall. An iPhone image.
