Photo friends

This was a meet up of my photo friends a few years ago. Back row from left - me, Fiona, Sue and Rachel. Front row on right Phil and the other chap joined us but we hadn't met him before - his name was Neil and I remember we had a silly moment telling Neil to Kneel!! You had to be there!! LOL!!

Rachel is my friend who has lost her memory and her speech after asthma attacks and a huge anaphylactic shock. We were all searching for photos to send her to try to jog her memory and Phil found this one. I sent it to Rachel and didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks until yesterday. She messaged me and asked if we had met a strange guy when we went to Bolehill Quarry. Yes it was a memory from the day!! So exciting!! We did indeed bump into a very strange chap who was boasting about what a great photographer he was and that he was friends with David Attenborough (as if!!). He invited himself along to lunch with us but we very rudely managed to give him the slip. LOL!!

How incredible the brain is that this photo should jog Rachel's memory of us at Ladybower reservoir and then at Bolehill Quarry. Rachel still has a long long way to go and this was only a little piece of her memory but it did make me smile. I thought these smiles definitely deserved to be in my month of smiles!!
Oh how thrilling that this jogged her memory! Definitely worth including in your month of smiles :)

Your narrative is wonderful. I did not realize asthma could affect a person’s memory. I hope your friend’s memory improves, every day.

@louannwarren Sadly Rachel's brain was starved of oxygen form both attacks. She lost her speech and also her memory. So sad!!

Oh well done between you....photographs are invaluable for memories. She must have enjoyed herself so much meeting you that a little grain is still in there buried. What an awful thing to happen to her... ever heard if that before!
