We went up to the Roaches on Friday and I found this view once again. The first time I saw this I was on a landscape course and we were taking shots of this view. There was a young couple under the tree having a picnic and they were in all our shots. The young man saw us (six toggers with cameras and tripods) and came running up the hill to us. He said he had just asked his girlfriend to marry him and she had said yes!! He was bubbling with happiness. He had brought some strawberries up for us to apologise for spoiling our shots!! We assured him he hadn't. He had asked the farmer if he could have his picnic under the tree and he had surprised his girlfriend with his proposal!! Simon Watkinson the pro togger who was taking the course had taken a shot with his long lens just as he had proposed and he told the chap he would send a copy to him. He was one happy chap!! So pleased I found this view again.
