This is my favourite and most used book - I love it!! My Dictionary. I have had this book for years and I probably use it at least once a day - my spelling is a bit dodgy and I like to check. I know I could use the automated spell checks and dictionaries online but I like to rummage through the book and find my word. Years ago at work we used to have "word of the day" and each day I would pick a word out from the dictionary and see who on my section knew the meaning. We had great fun with this!!
Pam, this is such a good photo. I love the composition and the words attached AND the processing. This makes me so nostalgic for a simpler time. I wrestle daily with what I feel I have lost with the onset of really high tech back in the early nineties. This photo says it all, so it's a fav for me on many levels. Love this photo, Pam. The dictionary is one of my favorite books too. I have a collection of them, mostly old ones, some huge ones, some small ones. I always keep a dictionary in the bathroom "library". My kids learned so many words in that library.
