10th August 2013 Deserted Ride

Topic of the Day Fair/Fairground

I was on my way out shopping this morning wondering what I should do for my shot today when I passed this small children's fairground on the bank of the River Nene. As you can see the sky was rather threatening and there were no children on the rides which was great for me as I try to avoid children in my shots. It was a very colourful ride but I thought it suited B&W - Oh yes I just can't resist doing a conversion!! LOL!!

I know this will look better large against black if you have time.

Taken on my iphone as that's all I had with me. Then when I tried to copy it into LR via the "cloud" I seem to have lost connection with it and the shots I took this morning are not in my photostream!! Grrrrrrr!! I hate computers!! I just wish I could understand them a bit better. I finally decided to email to shot to myself - quite pleased with myself in the end. I am sure there was an easier way!! LOL!!

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments on the shot of my dictionary - I was so pleased I was not the only one who still likes "actual" books rather than the "virtual" variety!!

Ooh I just noticed that this went on the PP yesterday and is still there woopee!! Isn't it wonderful when a shot that you like is also liked by others!! Thank you everyone for your great comments and Favs which got it there!! I do appreciate you taking the time to look and comment on my shots!!
Great shot Pam! Wonderful b&w shot!

Super high contrast B/W. Yes, even though it is a playground, deserted it looks rather sinister.
