We met my friends for lunch at the White Hart Pub, Stopham Bridge. Wonderful food and it was a dog friendly pub so Finlay could come inside with us. He was an angel and slept under the table for the whole meal!!
When I came out of the pub I took a walk with Finlay over the bridge. It's lovely with bays all along the bridge for you to go if there is any traffic going over the bridge. Stopham Bridge was built in 1423 and goes over the River Arun. It is no longer used for cars as they have built a new bridge beside the old one. I am not sure the old bridge is wide enough for a lorry to go over anyway but you would definitely need to squeeze into the bays for safety!! How wonderful that such an old bridge is still standing!!
