Just a quickie this morning as I have the family coming for Sunday lunch and I need to get cooking!! I always loved peeling an apple and trying to get the peel all in one piece. Success!!
The apple itself was very disapointing in flavour - it was French!! Why are there no English apples in the shops when its the apple season!! Grrrrr it does make me mad!! There is nothing like an English apple!!
Many thanks for all your fab comments on my recent shots - I am so chuffed!! I love that word!! I will have to catch up with you all later as I am busy busy busy!! Have a great day!!
Yes I try to do that when I peel apples too. Do you remember the programme, I think it was Crackerjack , where the children were given a task to do as a competition? One time they had to peel an apple, and the person with the longest piece of apple skin at the end won!
Lovely "Apple" capture , the peel all-in -one, the flesh quartered ,cored & sliced 10/10- and was it a pie or crumble ? guess my occupation -- a retired food technology teacher !! This is so neatly presented & framed . Enjoy the family lunch .
Lovely theme shot, 2 things, one I was going to do a shot like that, an apple at different stages and two, I was just looking at these chopping boards, and I know what you mean about local produce, we get our apples in the local market but even then they are not Limerick local but from another county altogether,
What a fun title for your image! And what a super crisp-looking apple, despite your disappointment in the taste. To me, it says, "cut out the core part and fill it with peanut butter." We have good Honeycrisp Apples right now.
Cool DoF.
