This was yesterday at Grafham Water - a wonderful arial display when suddenly the plane in the centre swerved over towards the plane on the left. It looked very much like a near miss to me!!
Looks better large
Many thanks to you all for getting Finlay onto the PP yesterday. My little robin was still there so two on PP at once!! What a great way to bring my 365 to a close!!
@busylady Thanks Judith. I live in Wellingborough and we were having a lovely drive out in the sunshine looking for old houses but ended up at Grafham.
I'm glad what you captured was a near miss and not an actual hit. I love airshows. Our international airport allows you to buy photographer passes. You get front row a tent and a private view of all the plans before the crowds come. I got some great shot a couple of years ago. I may do it again this year. Thank you for sharing Pam.
@rvwalker Thanks Ross. I think the two yellow planes were training and the third plane was the teacher. The yellow planes were blowing the smoke as they went round and seemed to be following the third plane which never used any smoke. After the above incident they did lots of turns and circles above us and seemd to be following the other plane. They then all flew off into the distance. It was such an odd move by the middle yellow plane - I do think he made a mistake and turned too soon.
A great capture, it looks like a near miss to me - they surely wouldn't get that close just to add some excitement ! It looks tense enough in the photos.
