This is the roof of a Yurt which they are constructing outside the new wedding venue they have built here on the farm. It is fabulous and a wonderful place to get married. I was being nosy as they were getting ready for a wedding this Saturday and I have never seen a yurt before. I thought at first it was a shame the ladder was there - they were putting the final part of the roof up - But I quite liked it in the final shot. This is HDR 3 bracketed shots and I have given it a painterly effect as I thought it suited this shot.I love the way you could still see the sky through the opening. It made me think of climbing up to heaven - a bit fanciful I know!! Do you think I should have given it a more normal effect? @taffy for mentoring - Sorry I have left my list of the others in the group at home so I hope they see this for critique,
Many thanks for your comments on yesterday's shots - very much appreciated!! I was thrilled to see that my rainbow shot and The Dales had both made the PP - even though there were very few viewings and Favs,
That's a great HDR Pam, and in my opinion the ladder has done a great deal to lift the shot from very good to excellent. The radial focus on the circular spaces transected by curved supports makes for a really strong shot with very little visual distraction.
instant fav Pam!! Even before I read that it was your HDR mentoring shot. I love it! The processing choice fits the theme and image, and the composition -- wow -- love all those curves and lines. And to me, the ladder makes the shot work beyond just a 'sight to see'. Love it!
