A family of greenfinches came to the garden today and this young bird was trying to attract attention as the adults gorged on the sunflower seeds.
First time I have picked up my camera in a few days - I seem to have lost my inspiration. Perhaps I need a break form 365? The wet weather hasn't helped. I am looking forward to going on holiday next Saturday to Devon. Fingers crossed the weather will be kind!!
Woke up this morning to find this on the PP! How lovely! Many thanks for getting it there!
This is a wonderful capture. I am not at all familiar with this bird, but I do know it is a great shot. So clear and such detail in it's feathers. He stands out well from the background.
Hi Pam, just love the pose this green finch is adopting. If you need a bit of time off, how about doing a shot a week for a month or two.......I'd miss you terribly if you left all together
Brilliant capture, so lucky as Greenfinches seem to have deserted our garden for the last couple of years. Have a wonderful break in Devon and don't fret over photographs, take them when the urge takes you and you enjoy doing it.
This is a super fav! Love, love it and I think it is TT wonderful - I hope I see it there. I am like you, feel out of sorts about my photo mojo :) - I hope you have a wonderful holiday and that you find you mojo on that trip.
Lovely capture! I used to be obsessed with taking a photo everyday but I have come to realise that it is okay not to use the camera for a few days. Hopefully your break in Devon will bring you tons of inspiration!
@amfrumbiddivurd thanks Andy. I am going to North Devon near Great Torrington. I have found a 5 bedroom thatched cottage which is dog friendly so Finlay can come. My niece who lives in Clovelly will be coming to stay with us with her two little girls. I am hoping for the chance to get some pictures of them. Hope the weather is kind to us!
