I picked up my new car yesterday and by the time we had finished the paperwork it was dark and raining. It was also the rush hour!! All the things I would have preferred to avoid on my first drive. This is my first automatic and I was a bit nervous. Wow it was wonderful - I love it!!
There are lots of knobs and warning things going on that I am not quite sure about but what a lovely car to drive!! I am not sure about the way it switches off when you stop in traffic and then starts when you put your foot back on the accelerator - I suppose it is ECO friendly but I kept thinking surely it must run the battery down?
Oh well I am sure I will get used to it very soon!! I am off to Derbyshire on Sunday for a week and I will be really giving it a run for it's money!! I am trying to avoid fireworks as Finlay goes mad when he hears them. So a week in the country for the two of us. Hopefully I will be able to get my photographic mojo working again!!
Congrats on your nice shiny new car. We have now switched both cars to auto and it's brilliant, especially when you are stuck in traffic. I sometimes switch stop/start off if I am in traffic though as it can be quite annoying then.
Glad you are loving your new car. My son has stop start and it drives him cuckoo in traffic, so like @paulaw he turns it off! His also parks itself......just sooooo cool for parallel parking and not scuffing the alloys!
@pixiemac Yes I think I will be turning this function off - you just have to remember to do it every time you turn on as it resets itself. Mine has rear camera parking assist. Didn't go for the next model which did the parallel parking as it had leather seats and Finlay would ruin them!!
