This female jumped onto the back of one of the chairs right outside the window. I took a quick shot but the background was much too bright to see the bird properly. So a bit of tweaking in PS and then in NikEfex Pro and I managed to retrieve the detail of the bird.
Many thanks for all your lovely comments on my new car especially all your good wishes. I am really looking forward to going to Derbyshire on Sunday with Finlay. I can't wait to get away from the fireworks!! It is Halloween today yet there are constant fireworks going off this evening. I don't understand!! Poor Finlay is a nervous wreck!!
Beautifully captured. We are very lucky that fireworks are not something that are readily available in South Africa. Plus the small village I live in doesn't arrange any firework displays at any time of the year.
Wonderful processing and a fav for me. Jinks has walked so much at Hengistbury Head and is now flaked out and I think he will not stir if there are fireworks!
A beautiful capture and a fav. A lot of animals are frightened by fireworks. I hate to think what their effect on wildlife must be. Love to Finlay, hope he has a quiet and relaxed Hallowe'en.
This is lovely in monochrome and I wouldn't have thought of doing a blackbird like this but it's really striking and I don't know how I missed it = Fav
