6th May Another bluebottle

Second bluebottle shot but this was taken with my 100-400mm lens and although the position is much better than the other shot I don't think its as clear. The macro lens is much better for this type of shot!! Another one for my Extras Album as I have loads of empty places.

I hate bluebottles with a passion but on close inspection it is rather pretty, that metallic green is amazing.

@sansjuan @swilde Thanks Nita and Sue. I tried with the long lens first of all so that I didn't have to get too close and scare him off. The 100mm macro was much better for detail - I would like a 180mm macro but its too much money. It just gives you more working space when you are trying insect shots. Better do the lottery!! LOL!!
