The Heron landed again further round the lake and I tried to creep up on it. Impossible with the White terror with me!! This was as close as I got before he took to the air again. Big crop and I have used a pixilate filter to try to give a bit more detail. I will get close to a heron - one day!! Or I will have to get a 500mm lens!! LOL!!

Lovely shot Pam. If you want to get close to a heron you'll have to come to Priory Country Park in Bedford. You can get really close to them and they are so kind that sometimes they actually pose for you
