This is my sister Barbara stopping to get her breath as we were hobbling down that steep hill of cobbles. My niece Ruth lives near the bottom and it was a very slippery walk as the cobbles were wet.
You can see some sledges propped up on the right of the shot. These are what they use to take everything down to their houses. It might look very pretty but not my idea of comfortable living!
@rosiekind We got the landrover back up to the car park when we left Ruth's house. We had to walk down to the harbour - it's even steeper the last part - and then we paid to be taken to the top. I used to walk back up to the top but my knees are just not up to it now!!
Up the coast from us is a cobblestone beach. Fascinating but treacherous to walk on. When one rolls it hits another and bounces like a rubber ball. I do think your picture makes it look very inviting
Such a pretty shot with all the colours and your sister. Reminds me of Cornwall. Cobblestones are definitely dangerous especially when wet. Flat shoes highly recommended.
