This was our first walk of the day on the beach at Instow where we are staying. Yes it's raining! The beach was actually quite busy with dog walkers and a few desperate families with children.
As we walked along I spotted this little girl walking towards us - well waddling more like - she looked like a little blue penguin!! Her mum and dad were a lovely young couple and we had a chat with them while Finlay chased their dog. They had left their little girl's coat at home and so had put her in a spare coat of her mum's. It was all tied up to try and stop it dragging on the floor. I have never seen anything so funny!! I asked if I could take a photo with my iPhone and they seem delighted that I would ask. What a little darling!!
She looks so sad! Brought back a memory of when I was little and fell in a paddling pool and had to go home in my Grandma's coat as all my clothes were sopping wet. Happy days :)
This is too adorable! It reminds me of when Heather was this age, and we'd gone to Haleakala on Maui to watch the sun rise. She was wrapped up, mummy-style, so tightly, that she fell and couldn't catch herself. Unfortunately the area was all lava dust, so she did a number on her chin, prompting us to refer to her as "Cinder Chin" for a number of days following... She probably didn't think it was all that funny!
