This is Arnold St. Mary's church path in the snow this lunchtime.
I've adjusted everything really, levels, contrast, curves to try and get some detail in the foreground snow.
I was going to crop out the notice board at the bottom of the path, but then I would have lost some of the wonderful tree on the right hand side of the frame.
I will be walking up this path in a little over 7 months as father of the bride. I have probably told you all that before several times !
I put a black border on the shot to help show off the snow.
The path has appeared on my 365 several times before
I remember this scene in the summer with bright flowers bordering the path. The trees look so pretty with the snow on them specially the fir. Big year for you this year...it will soon arrive!!
@judithg oooh i like the idea of a collage judith :) ..... yes it does seem ages since i was posting pictures of the hotel 'booked' for the wedding breakfast !!!
you captured the "bumps" in the snow well...my back garden looks a little like this, not sure quite why, but gives interest to the blanket of white! nicely captured scene Phil
Just beautiful! Love the difference in the bare tree and the leafy tree (see my knowledge of tree names is outstanding as ever) and the way the snow settles on them, both gorgeous in different ways.
