Poinsettia Leaf on White by phil_sandford

Poinsettia Leaf on White

Really busy day with work and 'stuff' so not alot of time for much else; it's so cold outside even the birds aren't bothering. Our Christmas Poinsettia is almost on its last legs, so have removed a leaf (they're falling off anyway as if our kitchen was experiencing Autumn) and placed in the light box.

Very little post capture editing. Not bad on black if you have the time and inclination
It does look rather nice on black 😊

If you overexpose by a + or so you'll be more likely to get white. You'll then likely lose the join from floor to back wall. Am becoming an expert at failing on white!!! In a lovely bnb but its pouring so holed up with trashy book.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Jak, there isn't a join between floor and back wall, it's one complete sheet which curves (as are the black and cream sheets) - think it's the angle of the bulb that I need to play with.

Just had to get rid of the last poinsettia today - though should have thought to salvage a shot like this - it came out real well.
