Very busy day today (after a lousy night’s sleep); tree de-decorated and taken out of the house. Lights, decorations & baubles packed away and put back into the recently emptied loft (that was yesterday’s chores - multiple empty boxes for stuff we no longer have). House hoovered (pine needles get everywhere), wooden floors cleaned and everywhere dusted and polished.
Three trips to the council recycling centre, 1st was the cardboard boxes, 2nd was the polystyrene from the multitude of boxes found in the loft and the 3rd was a number of electrical items (none of which work and one was a 3 tonne (well, not quite) CRT computer monitor).
Quick trip to Tesco for the weekly essentials, a beef stew put into slow cooker for this evening.
Having again chosen not to attend the rugby in Leicester this afternoon, for Covid reasons, I texted Carole to ask if she wanted to go to Hartsholme in the afternoon as sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky all morning, the response was yes, for her to arrive home around 2pm just as the storm clouds arrived. Hartsholme cancelled.
Ergo, a shot of the Cathedral from the other night (sorry).
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
We had a weekend much the same with all the cleaning and putting away. At least now you got to show this beautiful photo taken previously. Will the beautiful lighting go out now that the holiday is done?
@shutterbug49 Hi. They light the towers throughout the year, every night, it is generally a white light, but they have the ability to make it any colour for any occasion.
Wow, you’re ahead of us …we decided to have the tree and Christmas trimmings one more week, mainly because we’re unpacking so much from the containers, there’s only 24 hours in a day 😅
Way ahead of me too! The only thing I did was take the wreath off the door so it could dry out indoors before I pack it away. Everything else can wait methinks. Nice vista
