Before After

We had some work done in the house whilst we were away in Cornwall; finally got around to having a sink installed in the utility room (how can you have a utility room without a sink?) but it meant we were losing a large unit (which we used) and so our fitter, John, installed a new one in the kitchen where we had a bookcase and he moved the plug socket around the corner so we didn’t lose that.

At same time, also by John, we have had the thermostat situated at the bottom of the stairs disconnected and a Hive installed (so we can now have the thermostat in the same room that we’re in) and we also had the smallest, thinnest, most ineffective radiator in the house replaced with a larger, double, taller, more effective one (the lounge maybe won’t be the coldest room in the house this coming winter)

I need to paint a small area of wall to finish the job (John doesn’t paint)

Looks good

Oh I know that feels good, to get those things done that you’ve wanted to do for a long time.
