The Royal Garrison Church in Old Portsmouth lost the roof of its nave in the blitz in 1941. Where the roof should be, Portsmouth Cathedral can be seen in the distance.

Beautiful, reminds me of some of the historic churches in Christchurch here in NZ. However there roofs were removed by the act of nature when the earthquake hit last year.
