‘7 discrimination’! by rhoing

‘7 discrimination’!

I received a metric wrench set for Christmas (thank you, Jenny & Steve!) and only noticed today that there is no 7mm in the set that contains every other [integral] size from 6mm to 14mm. I emailed a brother-in-law about it. His reply,
“7mm isn’t particularly common, but one would think they would leave out the 8mm which is practically 5/16ths or the 13mm which can be interchanged with the ½".

“My set didn’t have 5.5mm which is one that you find a lot in electronics. I had to buy one.

“You should probably buy one. You know darned good and well that you’re going to need it if you don’t have it!”

He's probably right!

With the 60mm lens on my camera, I put the camera on the GorillaPod to get more depth of field (2.5" shutter).

Haha, nice story, so will you buy one or wait until you're looking for it... Probably what I would do.

Despite the shortcomings, I believe Craftsman has a lifetime guarantee, so there's that.

@bella_ss Exactly, Sheralee! I have adjustable wrenches which would fill any temporary or stop-gap need!

@cejaanderson I have used that lifetime guarantee once. A large ratchet drive failed and I turned it in. A week or so later the replacement came in the mail. :)

Yep, the odds are against you. You will indeed need the one you do not have
