Vintage juicer by rhoing

Vintage juicer

The "signature drink" at Grace and Neal's wedding was "Dark and Stormy," and today I made them for Clare and her mom. We bought limes at the grocery store, but then I asked Mom about a juicer. This item made the move to her hometown last year and it's what I used tonight. She said it was a wedding shower gift from her sister, so this puppy is 61½ years old! Info on the bottom:

(Looks rather like R2-D2 when "closed." RIP Kenny Baker, who passed away this past August 13.) It was a process to discover how it all comes apart for cleaning, but what a hoot!

I'm curious about the drink recipe. Sounds delish. Love the red and how cool to have such a vintage juicer!

@alophoto Very simple.
Lime juice,
ginger beer (ginger *beer* not ginger *ale*) and
[dark] rum.
Very refreshing.

It looks in tremendous condition! Obviously well cleaned after use. Dark and Stormy - has it got guiness in it?
