American Snout by rhoing

American Snout

Was able to row the lake again today and this little butterfly landed on my gear during my half-way water break. While this is a terrible photo, it’s only the fourth time I’ve posted a photo of this species, and curiously, every time it’s been at the lake or around the rowing shell at home. Regrettably, I haven’t been able to photograph one at rest with its wings down; the upper surfaces are quite pretty.
