Eastern Tiger Swallowtail by rhoing

Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

No need to submit this for ID. There are more than 20 species in the Papilio genus, and four other “Tiger” swallowtails:
   1. Western (P. rutulus)
   2. Canadian (P. canadensis)
   3. Pale (P. eurymedon)
   4. Appalachian (P. appalachiensis).
However, the other species of Tiger swallowtails are not [normally] found where I live. Hmm; I could (should?) submit for 2022 data in July in Illinois… Of course that’s another Photoshop edit and another submission form…

* A single specimen was captured by a boy at Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland in late September (or early October) 1932 and is believed to have been accidentally imported from North America.
