Lobster bisque by rhoing

Lobster bisque

Dinner at Raymond & Jeanne’s while their Lithuanian friend, Vytis, was visiting. Clare & I have had lobster bisque from other kitchens, but Raymond’s is still the best. We think he adds just a little more “heat” (paprika, maybe?) than other cooks.

Long ago I recognized that silverware that’s set “straight” on the table does not look straight unless photographed from directly above, so when I take shots like this, I know to alter the alignment of the silverware. I did a decent job of straightening them for this photo, but I missed centering the bowl on the plate. It’s usually something!
