Working model steam engine

The Pearn Brothers lived and worked in Westbury Tasmania. This area was the original food bowl for all of Australia! The brothers and their ancestors ran transport and agricultural businesses there. They used steam engines for all of their activities - right up until about 1952. They then started collecting steam machinery to preserve - they could keep the machines running and build them from scratch or from parts eg this small scale model. The museum they established is fantastic.
That looks like an amazing model.

@peadar Hi Peter - it was so detailed - would have been great to see it working. One of the brothers built many models - all sorts of machinery in miniature. They were amazingly skilled!
