lola and grandsons

today the boys came for a visit. we started our day with a filipino breakfast then we hit the mall for their Christmas gifts. the big boy wanted a game for his ps3 and young darren wanted an iTune gift card. i also gave darren an coolpix camera that i had bought on sale at one of the local camera shops downstairs. both boys were very happy, especialy darren who was always into photography. partner and i also gave them a digital frame and i put in a little usb key some of their photographs that their mother has not seen yet.

of course we did a photo shoot. they played with their computers and games. the highlight of the visit was darren wanting to play monopoly. then partner took us to a nice italian dinner.

my boys are surely growing up to be fine young men. but what i love is seeing darren wanting to express himself through his mohawk hair and little bow tie worn with a cotton shirt with little polka dots and a cardigan. they were quite sad when we dropped them off. but i'm glad i took this photo.
Very cool shot! Merry Xmas!

That mohawk and tie rock! Sounds like such a great visit. I never have used my digital frame my class got me three years ago...well, I'd turn it on (by my desk) and use it one day, then forget to turn it on other days. I finally moved it away from my desk and computer (that also displays photos) and into the great room, on a shelf. Under a little antique lamp my mom gave me. I turn the frame on more, and sometimes I walk through and see a pic I've taken on that frame. Some are good, and some ..not so much. esp. from my earlier times on 365. But it is fun to see them. Digital frames rock!
