it's a bright sunny day today but still in the minus teens outside. i caught the last of the morning light that shone through my living room window and shoot in different angles and settings. maybe because of the reflection from the snow outside the window that the light still appeared too harsh. the f-stop mind you is already at 18.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
My very first thought when I saw this was "oh no, Chucky's back!" Very scary thought indeed. Plus it seems that I am not the only one thinking this.......
what the others said... chucky is apparently alive and well and in your living room... this is disturbing ;p
so... why f/18? and did you shoot any into the light? did you boost contrast? if yes, did you also try decreasing it? that might make the light come out less harsh... (actually, it's not contrast at the extremes, it's only in the midtones i think... in LR i would decrease clarity but possibly still boost blacks and whites)...
anyhoo... it matters not... this is a delightfully creepy picture... happy family day ;p
@northy - shot it in black and white and i tried to correct the midtones sans success, as methinks i made it worse. the f/18 was because it was too bright and it was the setting that made the shot turn out "right". then the sunlight was gone. i'll play with it again. thank you, kiddo.
hmmm... ok... i asked because your exposure was 0.4s... which seems pretty slow... but i completely understand about going with the settings that seem to work :)
Is it the lighting, or did that doll always look like there's a sociopath nestled within?! I'm not typically one to hate dolls or clowns, but this one has a vibe going that I find disquieting! (Would this work for toys and their pets?)
