the only tray of food last thanksgiving at my niece that i can partake. the turkey, the ham, the chicken, i cannot tolerate anymore.
but, i was at the doctor's today to see the results of my bloodwork from two weeks ago. well, they couldn't believe it. they knew it was possible but have never actually met someone who actually was able to reverse their blood sugar to normal. kudos was received from everyone. naturally, i was very happy. a thorough change of diet and lifestyle, it is of course possible. my GI in late may was 12. three months later on, it was 5.6. i'm back to the pre-diabetic level. the team set a goal of seven and told me six was really pushing it.
they were very diligent in my interview, from exactly what i do when i woke up each day through to bedtime, as well as the foods i eat and the supplements i take.
i wanted to celebrate with a big serving of ice cream but i found myself not really wanting it. so i had an apple.
Isn't the body an amazing place to live in?
I remember a lady in the aquagym class who told me she was suffering from diabetes. And she said that on the days she had aquagym class she need not take her medication. And I found that amazing. Isn't that a simple method?
Oh how tasty! And congratulations on the lifestyle changes you have made. What positive feedback from the medical people! I need to make myself do that - desperately.
