the welland canal by summerfield

the welland canal

the welland canal is a shipping canal in ontario which connects lake ontario and lake erie.

for today's water prompt.

this is a drive-by shot.

been to a really long funeral service. the church was very small for the number of people who came to say goodbye to a wonderful man who was my boss. it was hot at the church and very few people wore masks (it was optional) and it was a brilliant move for me that i brought a hand fan which benefited two people on either side of me as well as four behind me. there was a downpour before the service started and ended halfway through the service, but the heat became more offensive, i believe. the fans were not permitted to be switched on and i really felt for the people who were wearing suits. soon as i got home, i rested for twenty minutes and then hit the shower to get rid of whatever germs latched on me as i felt a bit stuffy in the nose. i will be sure to test myself tomorrow morning.
He learned about Welland Canal at school in geography and when we visited friends there he was sooooo excited to see it and the lock!!

Brilliant drive by landscape

This is a remarkably composed image for a drive by! I love the geese in the water.

I’m sorry it was such a stressful day for you but I know it meant a lot to the people to have you there

A nice shot of the canal. Looking at the map, you traveled a good distance to get close to it. Glad you were able to attend. Keep well.
