it was a crappy day in toronto once again. the weather here is like jekyll and hide. when i was walking home, snow pellets started pouring.
good thing i was able to capture the violin maker's window this morning, a rare opportunity because for once there were no cars parked in front and there were no reflections on the glass that mar the view of the violins. i had always wanted to photograph this window. so i'm glad this happened this morning. and it so happened that today's prompt is 'window'.
the photo was quite dull so i gave it a bit of a boost in iPiccy. then i noticed that that program erases the shooting info of any photograph that i processed. so i had to scrap that and did it all over again in picnik.
Wonderful capture of this interesting place. I love the colors and those violins in the window. Great processing, summerfield. Gosh, I will miss good old reliable picnik.
@cscecil - yeah, i should be brave one day and go in there and ask if i can take some photos. or maybe i will just interview the violin maker. :-) thank you, CS.
Cool shot. I love all the squares, rectangles and lines in it- and the violins at center stage. Hadn't noticed that about iPiccy, but then I'm never concerned with that info anyway, so I probably wouldn't have seen that the info was erased to begin with. Great window shot!
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i noticed it when i was posting, it posted to march 1st, that's how it is when the photo is unrated, it automatically posts on the first of the current month.
@olivetreeann - yes, when i make a collage in picnik, that happens. but last night i noticed it with my 'glasses' photo. so i re-did it in picnik. tonight it was the same. it's a little bit annoying, is all.
@bkbinthecity - i suppose i could try that during the weekend. thank you, brian.
@sunnygreenwood - yes, anne, i've been intrigued by this place for almost fifteen years. i knew before that there was a piano tuner shop in there. hmmm, gotta make that snooping around on the weekend. or maybe i should wait for when the grands are here. make an excuse that the boys are interested in a violin. thank you, anne.
@steeler - i know, it's quite busy. but i couldn't zoom in too close or i pick up a lot of reflections and it ruins the pic. so i chose this busy perspective. thank you, howard.
