looking up at the sky and buildings to see what would look good in black and white. the sky was a beautiful blue with occasional wisps of brush-stroke clouds. i looked down to change the setting of my camera and this was in front of me: an old jag. in powder blue. parked in front of a heap of garbage on the curb near the market. they don't make beautiful cars like this anymore. and get this: there's a handicap sticker on the dash that's why it's parked on a no-parking part of the street. the car is too pretty for me to make an issue of that. so enjoy!
As Camilla knows this is one of my favourite cars and as a boy I had an enormous poster of an e-type over my bed .pure art and your B&W capture is perfect
@steeler - yay! that's quite a generous comment, howard. i am so humbled. i actually thought of you when i squatted in front of this car to take this shot. "the steeler would approve!" and you did. thank you, howard.
Oh my ... it's fabulous! Love it in b&w ... perfect composition and pov! This car looks beautiful from ANY angle, but I love this view from the front. Sadly, they don't make them like this anymore!
drooling. just drooling. believe i should have been a mechanic. then i could have what i want. when i speak cars, it always boils down to fixability. not only do they not make them like this anymore, it is nearly impossible to find someone who knows how to work on them correctly. and not just a jag. like how we can just barely see you on the hood of the car. what a beauty. my old boss had a maroon jag and a bmw. truthfully, the bmw was a better drive.
@catsmeowb - wipe the drool! hahahaha! and you won't believe today i passed by and yet another jaguar, different from this one, with the jaguar logo on the bonnet of the car, and the colour is ecru, was parked on the same spot. but it being such a nice day, there was a lot of people and i couldn't get a shot. thank you, camille.
@pandorasecho - i really like this shot, too, dixie, not minding it's in black and white. i think this is my favourite shot of this segment of the challenge. thank you, dixie.
Fav! BAM....I said it. Thats the same feeling I had when I saw this. Amazing capture. Love the pov, lighting and processing. You really made this car the center of attention.
