Guillemots on Skomer

I always think that these are the nearest thing we have to penguins but of course they can fly so they're nothing like penguins really. They look a bit like them from a distance though don't you think?

Beautiful! I had to translate Guillemots in Dutch, never saw this birds before, where is tis picture taken?

@marijbar Thank you Marij. Skomer is an island off the west coast of Wales. It takes 15 minutes on a boat to get there and you can walk all around the island in about 3 hours. It is a nature reserve and visitor numbers are very strictly controlled. It is paradise for bird watchers like me. It's easy for us to get there. We stay in a B&B or a cottage close to where the boat leaves from ( about 1 hr 30 minutes from where we live) so that we can get an early start.
