Painted Lady

Taken at the same time as the one of the tortoiseshell I posted yesterday. This buddleia is at the front of the house, in full sun and the butterflies love it.
We haven't seen many painted ladies this year so it was good to see this one.

A great capture of this butterfly, Sue, with wings fully spread- I find that a challenge- with beautiful colours, bokeh, and dof (if I'm not being redundant). Fav!
