If viewed large, you can see the main osprey flying in to feed the babies. And to the right, on the bars of the tower, is another bird that I think is the other osprey, but I'm not sure.
My get-pushed partner, Aurelie Jacquet, asked me to capture nature in an urban environment. Now, in Chicago, where I live most of the year, that would take me into the city to find signs of nature. But, on Beaver Island, where I live in the summer, I'm surrounded by nature and the challenge was to find something and urban environment where nature would not be expected. I realized that the osprey family (decidedly nature) that nests every summer on the cell tower (decidedly not natural!) might fit the bill. BUT, they are hard to capture together and the tower is TALL!! So, I've been hoping all week to catch them again when I had my zoom lens. This was taken with my 105 macro and then cropped to pieces.
@mijade My get-pushed response. Hope you like the idea! I'm not thrilled with the execution but am not sure I'll have another opportunity so posted, just in case.
I was going to ask you where do you live, but now I know...
Thanks for thinking this works for the get pushed challenge and for your viewing/commenting. I'm not giving up on trying to get a clearer and closer image.
