Taken in the Lurie Gardens of Millennium Park, standing below the Nichols Bridgeway that goes from the garden to the second floor of the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. This is a 625-foot pedestrian bridge designed by Pritzker Prize–winning Modern Wing architect Renzo Piano rising up to 60 feet above Monroe Street. From it, you have amazing views of the lake and city. But I was below it, looking toward the top of the Modern Wing and beyond that, some of the skyscrapers that are part of Museum campus.
A totally different view from the garden: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2013-09-22
@thirdjoe Thank you so much Joe! I really appreciate it! One question...for some reason the fav is not showing up. If you have time and and so inclined, you may need to go back in and re-click. No biggie -- I appreciate the comment alone!!
Very cool angle and POV! I walked all the way across this bridge at one point only to find the other end closed - d'oh!
Also, I've finally gotten my copy of "Creative Black & White" by Harold Davis. I feel like he has a lot of interesting ideas, but I'm wondering whether it would work well as a book club book with so much of a focus on post-processing. Curious to get your thoughts.
