On a walk along the river at the conference site, the sun was shining through and I was photographing colorful leaves when this little dragonfly flew in, landed on the leaf, and started posing. I was amazed as I thought the season for bugs was gone. While there were other shots I had planned to post today, today's word for local wonders was "local insect." And the October word for the day was "colors-orange & black." It seemed like fate. So I had to post it.
A spectacular site -- a special visitor who landed just for you! The fall colors are spectacular here, and the details you captured show off the season well.
I love the fact that he landed right in front of you! Fabulous colours of the leaf and lovely detail of his wings! It was meant to be! I like it when you go out for one thing and end up with a completely different shot!
