After seeing riders on the beach during our stay, I convinced Jim that we should go riding, assuming the horses were dull trail horses and I could take photos while we rode. At the last minute I decided to take my little P&S instead of main camera. Thank goodness! The horses were spirited and all my shots had to be taken one-handed while guiding the horse and keeping him in check. I couldn't decided between my two favorites. Alternative is in other album: http://365project.org/taffy/365/2017-01-03
Super capture - so glad you got out there on some of those horses! Last time I did that, with my daughter, I realised how difficult it is to take photographs on horseback - even on the calmest of horses! There's always movement of some sort, and I wasn't letting go of the reins, even for a moment!
@jamibann I learned a good, humbling lesson with this ride! And today walking is a challenge...definitely out of shape and wasn't thinking clearly, but glad I have the shots I did get (I had to delete dozens of them).
Oh, what we will do for a shot, huh? Your photo came up on every browsing platform I looked at today, PP, TP, and it was on my curated page too! That algorithm knows what I like!
I'm looking at your stunning photos of horses on the beaches of Mexico and wishing I'd never tried to take my one bad photo. Waiting to see your images would have been a far better idea could I have predicted the future back then!
I'm SO PLEASED for you that you had a marvelous vacatiob!
@Weezilou Many thanks!! We just got back to Bill and Junko's, had dinner, and watched a few episodes of Mozart in the Jungle. We move into the city on Saturday to a short term rental. It's so cold and now we're dealing with reality -- much nice to have been in Baja! Hope you are healing quickly.
