The theme this week is looking up, which inspired me to put on a heavy down coat, furry lined hat, gloves (which weren't warm enough), boots (which need thicker socks), and take my camera for a walk downtown. I haven't done this in a long time, so had fun despite the cold. This photo was taken in the Illinois Center's large open lobby that has one set of windows probably 15 stories high or more. Through it you can see skyscrapers beyond.
@Weezilou Thanks Louise. The guy barely shows up, but you can see a little profile of a guy looking up -- he was on the landing above me, and is in the lower left corner of the image.
@taffy Oh I did see him, but still, what you've captured through your lens translates to my brain and I feel a response to that! Could be why I've now begun "Balance Therapy" (Until the last fall, I had no idea there was such a thing!)
This building blew me away when I walked into it last May. It really is stunning and I love the way you have captured it here. The tiny man in the bottom corner just adds to the sheer scale of this image!! Love it!! Fav!
