The Players' Perspective

Camera Club outing this evening to the King's Theatre in Southsea. It is a 110 years old and is a Grade II listed proscenium arch theatre, designated by the Theatres Trust as a ‘theatre of national architectural importance’.

What a beautiful theatre.

It must be quite a daunting view for the players. Beautiful theatre though.

@robz we went up to the gods, where the seating us tatty and antique
@ludwigsdiana it is quite tatty in parts, the renovations are exquisite
@wendyfrost unfortunately the basement where the orchestra was rowed(!) to their pit area was cluttered with junk and not photogenic . Portsmouth no longer floods so it's dry
@onewing Babs when the lights shine on the stage the audience cannot be seen
@susanalena it is beautiful
