The Palm House

The Palm House was built in 1844 to provide a home for the tropical plants that Victorian explorers brought back from their adventures in the tropics. No one had ever built a glasshouse on that scale before so the architects borrowed techniques from the ship building industry which may explain why the Palm House looks like the upturned hull of a ship.

Today the Palm House is one of Kew’s most recognisable buildings; an important surviving Victorian glass and iron structure. It also houses the world's oldest pot plant!

Took my port decanter bottle top with me, was really pleased that for a couple of shots it worked well. Taking photographs inside the Palm House on the other hand was quite hard, took the lens, and my glasses, ages to demist!!
I realllyyyy want to have a go at this Jackie!

@kali66 'cos I've learnt how to do a round crop and then overlay it onto the original and then turn it 180. First time took me over an hour, this took 3 minutes!
@cutekitty thank you :)
@365anne I love it, but a small stopper like this (5cmish) is hard as arms not long enough!! I'ts fun to do

Your port decanter has done an excellent job - you and it have produced a great result. I really like the way the decanter top produced an image which is still just slightly soft - it ties in with the big image, and I like the way both are upright. Did you do a little sneaky editing? :)

A creative shot. The ball on your wine decanter did a nice job of capturing the scene around and behind it.

Most impressive especially considering you did it with a wine bottle top! It turned out fabulously
