I was going to have a go at focus stacking, but the (free) program I have doesn't do that! I really must pay out for Affinity as my 90 day trial is over! Anyway why do I need it, this all seems in focus!!
I'm 'teaching' myself BnW (I've borrowed some books from the library !!) and this shot is after a LOT of faffing with lighting (direct, diffused and different angles)
CC on this much appreciated - it may not have the best of subjects to start with!
This is very well composed and executed. I would have cropped out the tiny bit on the right, though. The back light on this really gives it good depth. I especially like your sharp crisp focus. Have heard of Picolay which is a stacking software. I haven't used it yet but it is free. ( http://www.picolay.de/download.htm )
@joysabin thank you Joy, a tiny crop to right would have given same size border to top and left too! @lyndamcg I had the 90 free day trial, I actually struggled with it, but then I'm clueless with processing, I'd watch the tutorials and a 10 minute jobcould take me about a day and a half and then I'd forget what buttons I'd used!!
I love focus stacking for many subjects, but clearly you didn't need it here. I'd say you were off to a great start with your b/w learnings, this is terrific!
@theredcamera that light was closer
@ghost13 v kind
@taffy thank you
@amyk I'm not normally subtle
@grammyn an opinion I value
@anniesue ummmmmm- no
@mittens thank you
@dutchothotmailcom it worked so I'm pleased
@koalagardens thank you
@365anne @wakelys take a series of photos focussing on a different part, and then in program stack them all together and everything is in focus ( that's the theory anyway) thank you both
@romainz thank you
