This is a bit more what I was aiming for earlier in the week. The photo I'm trying to copy had the whole vase clearly, but out of focus, in the background and the vase in the droplet in shaarp focus. How did they do that -if not a composite??! Can't find the one I'm copying otherwise I'd ask!!
Thank you all so very much for appreciating the effort that went into this, I threw every light I have at it, every skill at using manual and my exension tubes. I think I may be trying to recreate the impossible as I fear what I admired may have been a composite- way beyond my ken (and ethics!!)
