Views Crossing the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct

It's 127' high, 1000' long, was built in 1805 ( when Nelson died at Trafalgar) and is held up by 18 pillars. It's pronounced pont-ker-sulth-tee!!

It was exhilarating motoring across but it's narrow, so you can't fall off ( fortunately!) so I was able to take photos.
Looks like a lot of fun!

@rjb71 we didn't queue, I was driving so stayed on the helm and I think I grinned the whole 1000 yards across!!! Their views are amazing

Such an old aqueduct. I didn't realize until I googled it that you motored across it in the canal boat. I'm breathless now that I know what I'm really looking at!
