Beachside Activity

Mary and I were partnered again for get pushed and this time I was challenged to review my first month here on 365 in April 2016 and to revisit a composition.

I elected to repeat this one . In 2017 I did revisit my first month and I took this scene .

Today I used ND filters, something I'd never heard of back in 2016 & 17! I need to practice much more with these and perhaps not go out in the heat of the day. I used the x8 with the x4 on top and I think that may have caused the 1970's brownish hue? This was also processed with Affinity to reduce the exposure and there's no way I'd have happily done that in 2016 and 2017!!!

An interesting exercise and what is fabulous is reading the comments on a new 365er's posts and how many of you have stuck with me for 6 years!!!!

@mcsiegle Hi Mary, the hardest parts of the challenge you issued were choosing which ones were possible in a different season and during a heatwave. This hasn't worked out at all as I wanted or expected, but it was far too hot to stay out for any longer than the 20 shots I took!! I was hoping for a 'Call me Joe' @joemuli effect but think I picked the wrong subject, very wrong settings and didn't concentrate properly!!

I think you did a pretty good job of getting a “call me Joe” effect and I admire your commitment to achievement with the challenging challenge

Interesting result, it looks very retro

It does have a vintage film look. I like the softness.
