1/Passing within 2' of a kingfisher, who stayed stock still ( knew I didn't have camera handy!)
2/ Fly past of seven white geese in V- formation ( no camera again)
3/ Gannet catching fish ( guess what- no camera to hand)
4/ Funny notices at Abingdon Lock and the lovely lock keepers there
5/ Sandford Lock and sending a collage to my siblings ( one of whom may comment below)
when will your siblings be taking possession of the lock? Fun signs to make the wait more tolerable . How exciting to see all that wild life and to be able to enjoy it without feeling compelsed to photograph it
@pcoulson the viewfinder spoils it sometimes @dutchothotmailcom it was downstairs each time!! @gillian1912 thank you, wanted to share the smiles @merrelyn oh they do @wakelys ummmmm, no!! @grammyn oh I felt compelled, but if I'd run down to get camera I'd have missed them all! @365anne oh it us!
Don't you wear your camera on a strap around your neck on these excursions? No? Well, it's hard to get a camera up and ready even if it is close by. The picture is firmly instilled in your head. Not as easily lost that way.
A fun collage you always make me smile. It's always thrilling to get those special shots but sometimes I think the moment is spoilt by trying to get the shot.
How lovely to be amongst nature and enjoying the surroundings.
