For the first time in 30 years a wooden schooner has been built in Lunenburg at The Dory Shop. The keel was laid in December, three years ago, and two sister ships were built simultaneously. The other schooner awaits purchase and interior outfitting. This vessel is headed to the Caribbean (for a couple of years) before sailing through the Panama Canal and on to British Columbia.
