When I saw this at the side of the road, I couldn't resist! While walking around taking pictures, a man rode up on a tractor and got out. I wish you could have overheard the conversation!
He was first concerned that we not go *into* the barn...no problem there!! And then I got the history of this barn and the property. If you've seen the TV show, you'll love it (as I did) when he said, "I'm a Grimm"... We were on Grimm Road in Grimm Settlement...he was the fifth generation to be living there on that property... The barn had once had a peeked roof (which you can see) but his grandfather built it higher. I was in awe of all the information, but then came this...
He asked where we were from, and when I said, "Southern California", he was in awe! He went on about how no one from Southern California had ever come there and what brought us here, etc.
I got some pictures of him with the barn in the background...a wonderful memento of a delightful meeting! Things like that just continue to happen around here...
I love the show Grimm, just watched the premiere of the new season last night. I also love this old worn-out structure, especially the lines of the former roof. How interesting that you are an exotic visitor to Mr. Grimm. I'm guessing he has no plans to travel much beyond Nova Scotia.
